Centennial Independent Study School
Centennial Independent Study School is a standards-based school that delivers curriculum through independent study. Students attend Centennial by choice.
Students receive weekly assignments and are expected to spend at least 20 hours a week on academic work to pursue their educational opportunities outside the classroom, yet within the framework of the educational requirements of Golden Valley Unified School District. Instruction is personalized and provides students with opportunities to create a flexible and satisfying educational experience for themselves. While attending Centennial Independent Study School, students can concurrently take courses at Madera Center of the State Community College, as well as other local universities. Students do best at Centennial when they are self-disciplined and have goals for their life when school is completed.
Centennial faculty pride themselves on creating a place where all students feel valued and accepted. Students are taught according to their unique learning styles. The school is designed to meet individual needs, interests, aptitudes, and passions.
