IT'S PROJECT TIME!!!!!

This semester your student will complete an SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) Project. The project can be a variety of things, as almost anything is agriculturally related. You should have received a letter with information as well as the rubrics at the end of December. Your student also got a copy in class and there are always more copies available. This project is to consist of 10 hours and is due May 25th, by turning in a record book (will be worked on in class) and a project report. The SAE portion of the class is worth 5% of the overall grade and FFA Activites (3 for new FFA students, 4 for 2nd year FFA students) are still requaired and will make up the remaining 5% of the FFA portion of the grade.

Welcome to MICA-Ag Algebra 1!!

Your student will now have a paper called AG Alert, it is a study skills/organizational tool. Each day they will write the date, the agenda, homework, and FFA annoucements. One paper lasts 2 weeks and then it will be turned in for points. If your student is absent they can copy off thier neighbors or the master calendar to see what was done the day(s) they missed. You should be able to check every night if you wish to see what was done in class and what homework your student has. I hope this will help the students be better organized and successful.

I am Ms. Katuin and I am exciteted to be back at the LHS campus as a teacher! This course is based on the CA Standards for Algebra 1 with a twist of Ag. There will be projects throughout the year that show students how math is used in different areas of agriculture. Students are members of the Liberty FFA Chapter and the CA State FFA Organization.

To the right you will find the Syllubus for the course, an FFA Activities Schedule, and the weekly plans for Algebra lessons/assignments.

Please never hesitate to contact me. It is my goal to help your student be successful this year!
