Dia de los Muertos was a memorable experience for all involved. Thank you parents from LHS and RMS for watching us perform and keeping the culture and traditions alive!
Homecoming was a success! Thank you to the parents and students of RMS and LHS for making this night happen! We will continue with practices as usual, preparing for the next performance: Dia de los Muertos.
Septemeber 15-October 15 is Hispanic Heritage month. We have done our part by sharing the Hispanic culture with the Ranchos Community through our Mexican Independence Day celebration and salsa contest. This year's winner is sophomore Emily Chavez. Thank you Emily and congratulations!
We will begin the 2012-2013 dance season Monday August 27th!
Practices are regularly held on Mondays and Wednesdays for 2 hours directly after school in the LHS theater.
We have a wonderful dance instructor, Cecilia Rios of Ballet Folklorico de Madera, who will be preparing the group for dance performances at various events and locations.
Everyone,including Ranchos Middle School students, is welcome to join in the fun!

Mexican Independence Day Celebration Friday 9/14
We will be hosting the 3rd annual salsa making contest. We are charging an entry fee of $2 per contestant and the winner receives a $20 gift card to the movies. We will also be performing that day at Sierra View Elementary, Webster Elementary, RMS, and at LHS! All of you will be expected to dance/dress-out for this event.
Parent Meeting
We need to have a parent meeting as soon as possible to establish our Ballet Folklorico booster club. Let’s plan on meeting on a Tuesday night in September. Please have your parents contact me with a date that works best for them.
