The final exam for pre-algebra is on Wednesday, June 5.  Students will take a practice test in preparation for the final on Wednesday, May 29.  They will get the practice test back at the end of the week so that it can be used as a study guide.  The last day students can turn in work will be on Friday, May 31.  Students may also do page 302 in the textbook for extra credit.  This must be turned in by May 31.

The goal of pre-algebra is to strengthen students' skills so that they are ready for algebra.  I look forward to a year of hard work, lots of learning, and fun.  The textbook is Holt Mathematics Course Two. I also use supplemental materials from the AIMS educational foundation that help students understand concepts by applying them.  A great resource for students looking for additional review at home is khanacademy.org.
