Students: Welcome to your senior year!  This year we will be reading several novels/major pieces of British literature, plus several other short selections from the textbook.  Our work will be standards-based with routine benchmarks every six weeks.  In addition, you will be improving your writing and critical thinking skills through journal writing, responses to literature, and several essays.  You will also expand your academic vocabulary and gain an understanding and appreciation of British Literature and its development.  This course will be rigorous and challenging so come prepared to learn!

Parents: Let's work together to make sure your student does well!  The best way to get in touch with me is through email, although you may also call and leave me a message.  Feel free to get in contact with me if you have any questions or concerns. This is going to be an academically challenging year for your student---let me know how I can help you, help them succeed.

Get ready for a great year!

HW: READ Angela's Ashes: questions due 5/24

Please note: Weekly lesson plans may change without notice according to student/class needs.  The best way to check what is assigned in class is to check your child's planner, which is filled out daily.  Also, different periods may be at different points in the lessons.  Again, checking the planner will give you the most up-to-date info.

Novels are usually available for free online at www.gutenberg.org.  They can be read online or downloaded to a device. Students can also listen to an audio recording at www.librivox.org
