Welcome to Ranchos M.S. Physical Education department. Skill develpoment, team building, and cooperation will be the focus of every unit. Once a week students will be focusing on cardiovacular edurance by participating in a fitness run. Another major component of the class for the spring will be to focus on muscle strength/endurance and flexibility. We will be performing push-ups and curl-up on a regular basis.

Each unit will be approximately 3-4 weeks long. Prior to each unit notes will be taken on rules, regulations, and strategy that will aid in learning the various activities. Notes will be kept in a sports folder (Sportfolio) that will be collected and graded at the end of each semester.

Our first unit of the year will be cooperative games. The students will be learning their classmates names and will work on becoming comfortable working with one another by performing certain tasks. During the unit we will be trying to get over our fears of physical contact and limits that may be an issue later on in the year.
