PEACH BLOSSOM Our class participated in the Peach Blossom Festival at Fresno State. Our poem, "Hello Bonjour," written by Michael Franti, is about tolerance. Being nice to people regardless of their religion or ethnic background shows good character. The students dressed up in costumes to represent cultures from around the world. CITIZENSHIP-A Pillar of Character. I taught at Webster when it was a K-8 school. THe big project for the 8th graders was to memorize the Preamble to the United States Constitution. Meanwhile, my 5th graders learned it as an alternative for the Pledge of Allegiance. Click here to see who else thinks they remembered it.
