Please take a minute and talk to your child about iknowthat.com. Recently, I spoke to the students about some possible websites that we could use in the class on the SmartBoard. They were very excited about www.iknowthat.com
It is a website that we do here at school throughout the week during different times of the day. Each of you children are assigned different homework, that fits their needs, according to their current IEP's. I also assign your child work that is in an area of strenghth as well as an area of need.
Your child(ren) have their own screen name and password that allow them the confidentiality of their work / level; however, it also empowers them by allowing them to create their own avatar, complete, create and save their work. Moreover, it allows them to reeive immediate feedback on their accomplishments.
As for yourself, you are able to see what assignments they have been given. In addition, you are also able to look at their progress reports to see how much they have done and what they have accomplished so far. Also, I will be posting classroom information on the bulletin board.
